Saab Key Programming
Saab cars that were built prior to 1994 come with an immobilizer system made up of coded keys. In order to add a second key, it requires a new transponder, as well as special programming. This is usually done at the dealer with a specialized Tech2 diagnostic tool.

Transponder key
The transponder key comes equipped with an electronic chip. It sends a signal to car when it is put into the ignition. Jump starting the battery

Start the working vehicle and allow it to run for approximately two minutes before you connect the cables to the one that is disabled.
